Here’s a selection of work I’m proud of, and what it produced.
Campaigns and content strategy
As Content & Communications Partner at CreateFuture, I worked across campaigns, press, video, and community – taking content from brief to delivery.
AI adoption campaign – CreateFuture – 2025

A three-part campaign. The first whitepaper documented CreateFuture’s internal AI experiments, testing AI-assisted development across engineering teams.
The second was built around original market research into barriers to AI adoption (1,000+ businesses). The third (unreleased) detailed using AI in the software development life-cycle.
Deliverables:
My responsibilities:
- Shaped the research questions and identified the strongest findings
- Interviewed internal experts
- Wrote the copy for and edited all three whitepapers
- Pitched to the national tech press
- Produced a four-part video series interviewing the CTO on the key findings
- Filmed and photographed the whitepaper launch at Digit Expo 2024
Results
- Earned national trade coverage including Digit and Digitalisation World
- Organic LinkedIn outperformed paid for whitepaper downloads
- Second most scanned stall at Digit Expo – driven by whitepaper interest
- The Digit conference AI talk (CTO) sold out, oversubscribed by 25 people
- 25% of all download came from Digit event tie-in
Financial Services campaign – CreateFuture – 2024

A content and PR campaign to get CreateFuture on the radar of wealth and pensions decision-makers. ‘Mind the Gap’ explored why 12.5 million UK adults are under-saving despite £800 billion sitting in UK pension pots.
Deliverables:
My responsibilities:
- Sub-edited the industry director’s 5,000-word draft to cut and tighten the copy
- Fed competitor reports into NotebookLM to find angles and hooks the competition had missed
- Attended the Digit Financial Services Technology Summit in Edinburgh to film live content
- Led press outreach pitching the MONY Group partnership to financial trade titles including FinTech Futures
Results
- 80% conversion rate on whitepaper downloads after the pivot
- 500% uplift in visits to the Financial Services web pages
Scale-Up Playbook – CreateFuture – 2025

A long-form lead generation playbook for founders and executives navigating the leap from start-up to scale-up.
Deliverables:
My responsibilities:
- Moderated a roundtable panel with internal SMEs, transcribed sessions and synthesised insights into the playbook structure
- Wrote the full playbook and owned the editing and revisions process
- Wrote the PPC landing page copy
- Brainstormed LinkedIn ad copy for the launch campaign
- Collaborated closely with the Design Lead to align copy with graphics and ad creative
- Sub-edited the typeset PDF before wider stakeholder review
Results
- Published and featured by UK Startup Hub as part of a named content partnership
PR and media
Building the CreateFuture press office — thought leadership & news – CreateFuture – 2023–2025

Ran the CreateFuture press office, initially alongside a colleague, then solo. The strategy was built on two things: rapid newsjacking using ResponseSource, and raising the media profiles of key executives (such as CTO Jeff Watkins, pictured) as AI thought leaders.
My responsibilities:
- Developed relationships with key tech and B2B trade media journalists
- Monitored ResponseSource for journalist queries, matched them to the right executives, and turned their responses into publishable commentary – typically within 30 minutes
- Built a NotebookLM database of previous executive commentary to draft AI-informed responses in advance of the executive’s own input
- Proactively reworked existing content to fit breaking news hooks
- Raised the media profiles of CTO Jeff Watkins, AI lead Angus, and Industry Director Simon Hull across business and trade press
- Managed C-suite hire announcements including the appointment of Shane Corstorphine as Chairman
- Manually pitched journalists individually rather than using bulk mail
Results
- 200+ press mentions generated through Response Source
- Coverage across Forbes, ComputerWeekly, The Grocer, IT Pro, Raconteur, The Scotsman, Digit, Business Cloud and Yahoo Finance and many more

Travelled to Manchester to film a hands-on AI Copilot workshop with MONY Group’s senior engineering team. Then repurposed the footage and interviews into a full suite of content assets.

Journalism
I started as a staff writer at Information Age covering B2B enterprise IT, then moved to TechRadar Pro for continued B2B coverage, before switching to consumer tech as Computing Editor at TechRadar – one of the UK’s largest technology publications.
As Computing Editor at TechRadar, I managed a team of freelance writers, commissioning reviews, news, and buying guides to a monthly budget. I also used high-traffic buying guides to generate affiliate revenue – an early lesson in how editorial content can serve commercial objectives alongside a reader audience.

I then took on a hybrid community manager and regional journalist role at Tech North, interviewing startup founders and tech community figures across the North of England. The goal was to profile the startups coming through our programmes, raise awareness of the northern tech ecosystem, and encourage founders to sign up – growing the sector by making people aware of what was available to them.
Videography
I first picked up a camera in 2011 and taught myself from there. Since then I’ve developed my skills in corporate storytelling by filming for tech consultancies, startups, community support organisations, Mark Labbett from The Chase – and even a music group.
Showreel
A mash-up of the various filming projects I’ve worked on to date.
Consultancy – CreateFuture
A video I shot to promote CreateFuture’s AI workshops, ran in partnership with client MONY Group.
Digital support org – Leeds Digital
I filmed the first two series of Leeds Digital’s ‘Spotlight On’ Series, interviewing tech ecosystem collaborators from across Leeds.
Startup – ReceiptSafe
A video shot with a Leeds-based startup looking to digitise receipts.
Photography
I’ve photographed people and companies as both an in-house photographer and a freelancer.
